215 bus: The loop route that goes everywhere in Sejong City.

215 bus is a loop bus route that goes around Sejong City. The route starts and ends in the Bus Terminal. It’s important for KDI School students because it is one of the two routes that stop by our campus to connect us with the outside world.

Since the route doesnt go only clockwise or counterclockwise, its bidirectional. That means that the bus goes to both sides. It may be a bit confusing, so I made these diagrams to explain it better.

215 runs a route around Sejong City, like a balloon, where the origin and end is the Bus Terminal.

The route is a loop, like a baloon around the city.

The route is a loop, like a baloon around the city.

This means that from the Bus Terminal, 215 runs:

Bus runs from the Bus Terminal to the east and to the west.

Bus runs from the Bus Terminal to the east and to the west.

So this means that if you take 215 from the bus terminal, it can either take you to the west or to the east, but you will always end up at KDIS, Emart and/or Homeplus.

So, how to know which way it is going, so you don’t take a tour of Sejong City?

Although all buses have the sign indicating the direction in Korean and the bus drivers will tell you, since we don’t speak or read Korean, the easiest way is to check the time:

If the bus leaves on the minutes __:00 __:20 and __:40 of every hour, then it is westbound.
If the bus leaves on the minutes __:10 __:30 __:50 of every hour, then it’s an eastbound bus.

For example:

If the 215 at the Bus Terminal leaves at 3:20 pm then it is going westbound. If you want to get to KDI School quickly, don’t take this one! Take the 3:30 pm one.

If the 215 at the Bus Terminal leaves at 5:50 pm, then it is going eastbound. Therefore, it is going first to KDI School. If you want to get to Emart, don’t take this one! Take te 6:00 pm one

**Here’s the timetable, the 6:00 am times are departures from other places, they don’t leave from the Bus Terminal**

So, to answer the most frequent question I get:

How do I get to Emart from school?
There’s two answers:

1. Take 215 northbound from school. (Northbound means toward the north, hence, towards homeplus)

Get to Emart from KDIS taking going around the city.

Get to Emart from KDIS taking going around the city.

This way is easy, has no transferring, but it’s slow. It will take you about an hour to go all around Sejong City on board 215.

The other option is:

2. Take 215 to the bus terminal and then take a second 215. The second 215 is the one that goes westbound. Be sure to get on the bus at the minutes __:00 __:20 and __:40 of every hour.

For example, if you take the bus that leaves the terminal at 10:40 AM then its a westbound bus. But don’t take the 10:30 AM or 10:50 AM 215 bus, because it will take you back to KDI School!

Remember, you can’t use the free transfer on your T-Money Card if you transfer from 215 to 215, so will have to pay twice.
